Most families can navigate the demands that separation places upon a family and are able to maintain positive parent-child relationships. However, in some families, children begin to resist contact with a parent. When there has been a history of little or no contact between a parent and children, Allyson can work to build or rebuild the relationship between them.
Allyson Gardner works closely with families and combines therapy and psycho-education to address unresolved feelings and improve problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Allyson works with both parents and children, usually with a combination of individual and conjoint work, to help rebuild the relationships.
Allyson Gardner also provides post-care services for families who have completed an intensive multi-day reintegration therapeutic program.
